Hadia Khanam (born 1980) is a visual artist currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her BFA from the University of Okara, Okara in 2024.
Hadia’s artistic journey has been marked by perseverance and passion as she was forced to put her creative ambitions on hold due to early marriage and familial commitments. Growing up in Okara, a city with limited opportunities in the field of Fine Arts she resumed her academic pursuits after a 20-year hiatus graduating at the age of 43. Her favourite subject matter to paint are figures and scenes from everyday life which she renders using oil paints and watercolors. She discovered a passion for making art at an early age, consistently participating in school competitions and earning numerous awards which continued into her collegiate years where she received awards for Best Portrait and Watercolour Artist. Similarly, Hadia has received various awards in various competitions, such as the Punjab Youth Art Competition organised at the American Center, Lahore and has exhibited her artwork at Arts Council, Sahiwal. She has also had the opportunity to attend workshops by the renowned watercolourist Sabir Nazer.
Her artworks are housed in the permanent collection of the Ambiance Boutique Art Hotels. Read less
