
Huma Maqbool (born 1986) is a visual artist, educator, researcher, and writer currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her Masters in Philosophy from the University of Karachi, Karachi in 2014. Huma then went on to pursue and complete an MA (Honours) in Visual Arts from the National College of Arts, Lahore in 2018.
Huma has extensively exhibited her artworks locally at various art institutions. She has also reviewed art exhibitions for Art Now Pakistan, Online, most notably Beyond the End, 2019 a solo show by Mariam Baniasadi exhibited at Taseer Art Gallery, Lahore, and Spaces between the Histories, 2020 exhibited at Alhamra Art Museum, Lahore. She has also contributed to The News on Sunday, Pakistan when she reviewed Pieces of Enlightenment, 2019 and the Fine Arts Degree Show, National College of Arts, Lahore. She previously taught as part of the Institute for Art and Culture, Lahore and is now teaching at COMSAT University Islamabad, Lahore.
