Aiman Gillani (born 1992) is an interdisciplinary artist currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. As a creative practitioner, Aiman embodies the binaries of language as it exists in its various forms such as written text, digital code, and patterns. Using different artistic techniques and her unique aesthetic style, she inter-weaves these visual modes of communication to make mesmerising artworks.

Taking the weave to be her primary source of inspiration, Amian utilises its potential as a pattern which when laid out, stands apart from more frequently used forms of language that she takes to be a form of abstraction. Through her work, she attempts an amalgamation of the two she digitally codes the traditional vocabulary of weaving patterns to look up new plays of infinite possibilities, of visual feels and interpretations. The work serves as the nonlinear interpolation of languages made possible due to Aiman’s conflictual experimentation.
