Ameer Hamza (born 1994) is a visual artist currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his BFA from the National College of Arts, Lahore in 2020 specialising in Miniature Painting where he received a Distinction for his efforts.
In the artist’s own words, he sometimes feels as if he might just be ‘a third dot in the world’. Ameer’s initial attraction to colours is what spurred him to pursue a career in art. Having a deep personal interest in literature and history, Ameer argues with the past and addresses how chaotic and controversial history is through his practice, by looking through the lens of conflict and warfare.
