Bakhtiyar Ahmed (born 1994) is a visual artist currently based in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his DFA from the Arts Council Institute of Arts and Crafts, Karachi in 2023.
Bakhtiyar primarily works in the traditional medium of miniature painting though he has worked across various media including jewelry design. His work has been exhibited extensively locally at various art institutions such as Stars of Tomorrow at Pakistan Art Forum, Lahore in 2025; Beyond tiny realms lie infinite stories of a glided past at Ejaz Gallery, Lahore; BTS at Ahmed Parvez Gallery, Karachi. Bakhtiyar has volunteered organisations in the past including Ink, Earth and Visions: Echoes of Climate Change at Sambara Art Gallery, Karachi; Karachi Biennale Organisation, Karachi in 2024; Full Circle Gallery, Karachi; and 100 Legends, Lyari. He was part of a project working on the world's largest Quran with Shahid Rasaam which was displayed at the Dubai Expo. Bakhtiyar was awarded a scholarship during his studies. Previously he has spent 2 years teaching in Lyari, Karachi.
His artwork is housed in the permanent collection of the Ambiance Boutique Art Hotels. Read less
