Fatima Munir Amjad (Born 1979) is a visual artist currently based in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her BFA from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi in 2002.

Fatima’s practice has continuously been centred on the socio-political and how it directly affects her life. She most often projects her reactions through interventions on found objects and has repeatedly drawn attention to subject matter that interests her via patterns. Having reached "midlife", Fatima’s work has evolved to represent the weight of expectations placed on a woman by society which according to her is “ a burden she is expected to carry while maintaining the composure of a wallflower…”. The world may be taking small but steady steps forward in the fight for women's rights yet even in privileged circles, such as the one she belongs to, (Karachi, Pakistan), a strong, independent woman with thoughts, ideas and a voice is not seen as a man's equal. As the predominant patriarchal culture expects women to stay subservient, meek and accept the status quo; one that rebels in the artist’s mind is unique and every day is a battle for these women who challenge the norms. To those who subscribe to outdated gender biases, a woman's worth is measured by how well she serves a man and the rest of her is censored and rubbished in the unnatural selection of sexes which is what Fatima aims to depict through her practice. She has exhibited her artworks in numerous exhibitions locally and internationally.

Fatima's artwork is housed within the permanent collection of the Ambiance Boutique Art Hotels.
