Ibrahim El-Tanbouli (born 1954) is a visual arts practitioner currently based in Alexandria, Egypt. Through his practice he combines several artistic schools and trends while rejecting academic classification, always breaking rules of convention, in order to reach his own specific aesthetic values.

Ibrahim approaches his canvas spontaneously, leaving space for his flow of artistic and emotional charge; drawing on the memory of his past observations, dreams and experiences, he reveals that which is hidden within the subconscious. Symbology is a distinctive part of his practice; for him fish are representative of civilisation; birds for him signify liberation, freedom, spirituality, and transcendence; while animals for Ibrahim symbolise the relationship of mankind to the Earth.

Ibrahim’s artworks are colourful, cheerful, loaded with joy and speak to an overwhelming sense of optimism. Through his paintings, he visualises a celebration of life and his infinite love for Egypt. Ibrahim has consistently exhibited his works both nationally and internationally in a variety of formats particularly in Canada, Australia, England, Italy and France.

His artwork is housed within the permanent collection of Ambiance Boutique Art Hotels alongside many other notable collections around the globe.
