Kainat Atta (born 2000) is a visual artist currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her BFA from the College of Art and Design, University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2022. Currently, she is pursuing an MA in Visual Arts from the National College of Arts, Lahore.
Through her art practice Kainat is keen on effectively communicating and depicting the occasions in spaces and hence, crafts the temperament in the works of art she creates in conjunction with her inner world. She uses a variety of mediums such as mixed media and oil on canvas as part of her art practice. Kainat’s artworks have been exhibited locally and internationally at various art organisations such as Rebel Rebel and the Annual Young Artist Exhibition at Alhamra Arts Council, Lahore in 2022, 2021 and 2020; O Art Space, Lahore in 2022; Rangrez Art Gallery, Lahore in 2022; VM Art Gallery, Karachi in 2023; and Kaleido Kontemporary, Lahore in 2024. Her artwork has been a part of Peace and Prosperity Through Art to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan in 2022 and was the 3rd placeholder in the Uzbekistan and Pakistan Cultural Competition in 2021. Kainat was also recently a runner-up at the Po Toi Art Festival, Hong Kong in 2022.
