Mudasir Hussain Chandio (born 2001) is an interdisciplinary artist currently based in-between Lahore and Hyderabad, Pakistan. He completed his BFA from the Beaconhouse National University, Lahore specialising in 2025 and received a place on the Deans Honours List for his efforts.
Mudasir's artistic practice focuses on exploring the philosophical and naturalistic properties of spaces and objects, questioning their inherent content, creation, and objectivity. By stripping away their histories, functionality, and context, he aims to communicate his visual language through the interconnectedness of ideas and the limitless possibilities of dialogue between the ongoing processes of transformation and the politics of spaces around us. Mudasir’s artworks have been exhibited extensively locally at various institutions such as HAAM Gallery, Lahore in 2025; VM Gallery, Karachi in 2025; Karachi Artfest 25 at Sambara Gallery, Karachi in 2025, the Design Summit, Lahore in 2024; Lahore Museum, Lahore in 2024; Lakir Gallery, Lahore in 2024; Tagheer Gallery, Lahore in 2023; The Art Virtual Gallery, Lahore in 2023; the Young Artist’s Exhibition at Alhamra Art Council, Lahore in 2022 and Sindh Museum, Hyderabad in 2017. He was awarded the UMISAA Scholarship throughout his degree and has received notable recognition for his art practice, including being named a Special Prize winner at Karachi ArtFest24.
His artwork is housed in the permanent collection of the Ambiance Boutique Art Hotels. Read less
