Muhammad Atif Khan (born 1972) is a printmaker and educator currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his BFA from the National College of Arts, Lahore in 1997 where he was awarded a Distinction for his efforts.

Muhammad has had an illustrious career within the arts, spanning 24 years, and has been awarded a plethora of international awards, residencies, and workshops during this time. In 1998, he was awarded the UNESCO-Ashburg Bursary for Artists and appointed artist in residence at the Darat-Al-Funun, Amman, Jordan. He also received the Commonwealth Arts & Crafts Award in 2007. Muhammad was the Artist in Residence at the Swansea Print Workshop, Swansea, United Kingdom from 2005-06; London Print Studio, London, United Kingdom in 2008; and Glasgow Print Studio, Glasgow, United Kingdom in 2008. Muhammad’s work has been exhibited in several prestigious museums like Bradford Museum, Bradford, United Kingdom; Aga Khan Museum, Toronto, Canada; Sharjah Art Museum, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates; and the Islamic Museum of Australia, Melbourne, Australia. He has also participated in art workshops in India, Bangladesh, Jordan, and the UK. He has had several solo shows in Pakistan, UK, Jordan, Switzerland, and India. Muhammad was commissioned to create a series of large-scale print-based works for The Aga Khan Museum, Toronto and soon after created a giant site-specific sculptural installation for the inaugural exhibition of the newly built Aga Khan Museum, Toronto in 2014. In 2015, he won the Lahore Biennale Foundation’s Open Call competition and developed a monumental site-specific installation City Within a City at the Chowk Istanbul, Lahore, Pakistan.

Alongside maintaining his artistic practice, he is Assistant Professor at the prestigious National College of Arts, Lahore since 2005. Select artworks of Muhammad’s are housed within the permanent collection of the Ambiance Boutique Art Hotels.
