Muhammad Jawad (born 1993) is a visual artist currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his BFA from the National College of Arts, Lahore in 2019 specialising in Miniature Painting where he was awarded an Honours for his efforts. Muhammad was also the recipient of the Principal’s Honours Award.
His art practice questions how we perceive the changes within and around us and strives to understand how illusions can be created through our own perception. Muhammad was one of the participating artists in the Maktab Project, 2018 a collaboration between the Lahore Biennale Foundation, Lahore, and the Aga Khan Museum, Toronto, organised as part of the Lahore Biennale 01, curated by Imran Qureshi. He has exhibited artworks at A Site for Sight, 2020, a group show organised as a Lahore Biennale 02 collateral event. Muhammad has also displayed artworks at O Art Space, Lahore; Taseer Art Gallery, Lahore; Satrang Art Gallery, Islamabad, and 12.O Contemporary, Islamabad.
His artwork is in the permanent collection of the Ambiance Boutique Art Hotels, Lahore.
