Nain Tara (born 1996) is a visual artist currently based in Islamabad, Pakistan. She completed her BFA from the National College of Arts, Rawalpindi in 2021 and received an Honours for her efforts. She has also been the recipient of the Scholarship of Making at the Lajverd visiting school, Pakistan in 2024.
Nain Tara has exhibited her artworks extensively both locally and internationally at various institutions such as at the We the People, We the Art exhibition organised by the Switzerland Embassy to Pakistan at the Pakistan National Council of Art, Islamabad in 2019; Homage to home at Potohar Gallery, National College of Arts Rawalpindi in 2021; The New Odyssey at the Dominion Gallery, Lahore in 2021; Broadcast Vol.1 at O Art Space, Lahore in 2021; Fledge at Storia Art Gallery, Faisalabad in 2021; the 17th Emerging Talent Exhibition at the VM Art Gallery, Karachi in 2022; the Anna Molka Award at Anna Molka Gallery, Lahore in 2022; In Stillness, We Move at VM Art Gallery, Karachi in 2023; and Identity at Artcade, Islamabad in 2024. Nain Tara was selected in the HBL ART CALL 2.O organised by HBL, Pakistan in 2023.
Her artwork is housed in the permanent collection of the Ambiance Boutique Art Hotels. Read less
