Sabeen Yameen (born 1995) is an architect and visual artist currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her BA Arch from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi in 2019 and received a distinction in her dissertation for her efforts.
Her work explores themes of memory, sense of change, identity of places and nostalgia. Sabeen is an independent practitioner, who uses mediums like illustration, animation, Augmented Reality and soft pastels as part of her artistic and design practice. In addition to her independent work, she also works as a designer and animator for Miss O and Friends, a social platform to empower young girls. Sabeen has previously designed Pakistan’s first official Women’s Day Instagram filter in partnership with Facebook, the visual identity design for Karachi Down Syndrome Program, Karachi’s 2022 Down Syndrome Awareness Campaign #PyaarBaanto, and illustrations for GenderIT.org and Lays, Pakistan. She also designed the visual campaign of WeRaise Summit, a World Bank Group initiative aimed at supporting women-led companies in Pakistan. Her latest project was animating a course for Miss O Cool Girls’ Web 3 education hub for girls in collaboration with Uniswap Foundation. Sabeen is also the co-founder of Amaltas Studio and represented Amaltas Studio in cohort 6 both of Standard Chartered’s Women In Tech program and Women Fellows Leadership Program by Katalyst Labs.
