Sidra Liaqat (born 1989) is an educator, research scholar and visual artist currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her BFA from the Lahore College for Women University, Lahore in 2011 and received a gold medal for her efforts. Sidra then went on to pursue and complete an MS from the same university in 2014 and earned another gold medal. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Fine Arts from her alma mater.
Sidra’s art practice focuses on her interest in miniature painting. Her artwork has been exhibited extensively locally and internationally at various art organisations and she has taken part in numerous group exhibitions, an artist residency and even has an international solo exhibit to her credit. Sidra’s portfolio has been published in the HEC-recognised journal Visual Communication Quarterly by Taylor & Francis. She has won several awards at the national level. Sidra also serves as an Assistant Professor of Visual Arts at the Institute of Design & Visual Arts at the Lahore College for Women University, Lahore.
Her artwork is housed in the permanent collection of the Ambiance Boutique Art Hotels. Read less
