Tanveer Ali (born 1997) is a currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his B.Des. in Textile and Fiber studies from the Beaconhouse National University, Lahore in 2021 where he was placed on the Dean’s Honor Roll for his efforts.

Tanveer’s work revolves around Maps, as he believes that maps encode personal knowledge and stories of regions and the associated people in a powerful and emphasizing manner. Through his work, he connects fabric with psychological and physical changes taking place in a very specific area of the walled-city of Lahore, thus depicting the communalism of this historic locale. Tanveer has put the physical action of stitching and embroidering together with the mental action of mapping, uncovering, conveying, knowing and comprehending the truth behind the journey of Lahore through the years. He incorporates the art of stitching as it can be viewed as inquiry, meditation, commentary, translation and narration which relates it to mapping. He is currently teaching in Beaconhouse National University, Lahore.
